You can tell it's a boring news day when we do an Around the AFC West post. You can tell it's a really boring news day when we do two of them. So here's one, possibly of two, Around the AFC West post....
Mile High Report has a cool behind the scenes look at how John Elway became a Bronco in 1983. As a Chiefs fan, that's a pretty miserable day. There's also a story helping us understand the linebacker positions. Finally, Elway announce via Twitter that he'd be attending Auburn's pro day tomorrow. The Broncos are expected to be looking hard at a defensive lineman, and Auburn DT Nick Fairley will be there. The silver lining with the Broncos getting a top draft pick is that defensive linemen generally take a couple years to make a significant impact (though Ndamukong Suh disagrees).
Bolts From The Blue is doing something we've been doing -- predicting which restricted free agents the Chargers will try to retain. One player they're not expected to bring back is LB Stephen Cooper.
Silver and Black Pride it's all quiet on the Nnamdi Asomugha front. It doesn't sound like the Raiders will be able to re-sign him and he'll enter free agency. That's going to be one big paycheck whoever signs him and I can't imagine it'll be Oakland.
