A Pair Of Kansas City Chiefs Join NFL, NFLPA Negotiations

On the Saturday before the Super Bowl there was a labor negotiation between NFL owners and the NFL Player's Association. According to published reports, Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt was one of five owners in attendance.

A few weeks later, and we've got another Chiefs-related labor update. According to Albert Breer of NFL Network, who is on the ground in Washington D.C. for this week's negotiations between the two sides, Chiefs G Brian Waters and LB Mike Vrabel arrived today with the players.

Both players are on the NFLPA's executive committee. The entire executive committee includes Waters, Vrabel, Charlie Batch, Drew Brees, Brian Dawkins, Domonique Foxworth, Scott Fujita, Sean Morey, Tony Richardson, Jeff Saturday, and president Kevin Mawae. Breer reports that nine of the 11 members of the executive committee have been part of the meetings this week.

The two sides agreed to seven consecutive days of negotiations which would put the last day on Thursday. It's unclear if Waters and Vrabel will be there tomorrow as well.
