2011 NFL Combine Invites For Chiefs Fans To Keep An Eye On

New, comments

The 2011 NFL Combine starts next week which means the Kansas City Chiefs and the 31 other NFL teams will be meeting and talking with every NFL draft prospect they can get their hands on. Last year, of the 80 players we tracked the Chiefs' interest in, over half of them had either a Senior Bowl or an NFL Combine meeting with the KC staff. Many players met with the Chiefs at both events.

Which is why I wanted to remind you about the college prospects we know about that the Kansas City Chiefs have already met with.

We have a list of ten prospects compiled after the jump. All of them met with the Chiefs at the Senior Bowl and all of them have been invited to the 2011 NFL Combine. Of course, this list isn't comprehensive. We know the Chiefs met with many more players. We just don't know who. Much of that information will trickle out over the next month and a half though.

I'm not putting a lot of stock in this list, more so using it as a starting point for who the Chiefs may be checking out again in Indianapolis next week.

By the way, these combine and Senior Bowl reports are what drive NFL mock drafts. I guarantee you that the recent increase in mock drafts that have the Chiefs taking OT Anthony Costanzo are directly tied to the Chiefs meeting with him at the Senior Bowl this year.
