Shaun Rogers Free Agency Tour Leaves Chiefs, Heads To Saints

Defensive lineman Shaun Rogers has now visited at least two teams on his free agency tour -- Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs -- and he's about to visit a third.

On Rogers' Twitter account, he confirmed that he was in Kansas City visiting the Chiefs yesterday, had lunch at Gates Barbecue and then had dinner with defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel and defensive line coach Anthony Pleasant on Tuesday night.
Rogers writes that he's leaving Kansas City this morning and headed to New Orleans to visit the Saints. Here's what he said: "[Thanks] KC, enjoyed my [brief] stay never kno[w] might be b[a]ck 1 day."

Rogers is also getting lobbied one Chief to play with him in Kansas City. Chiefs DE Shaun Smith wrote to Rogers on Twitter: "[T]ell them boys it's a package deal and fair for both sides my dude[.]"

It's hard to guess what Rogers leaving Kansas City without a contract means. With the labor deal expiring on March 3rd, Rogers presumably wants to get on a team as quickly as possible, though some teams may be hesitant to do deals before the CBA is completed.

(Editor's Note: How do we know this is actually Shaun Rogers Twitter account? Several NFL players on Twitter are communicating with him, including Chiefs DE Shaun Smith)
