Jovan Belcher Joins Kyle Orton And Others On Chiefs Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs added a new name to their injury report on Thursday -- LB Jovan Belcher. He was limited on Thursday with a shoulder injury but Chiefs coach Todd Haley said at his press conference that he's optimistic on Belcher so it sounds like it's nothing to be too concerned about.

After Belcher, the same three guys from Wednesday were on there -- C Casey Wiegmann, LB Demorrio Williams and QB Kyle Orton.

Wiegmann was limited with a finger injury for the second consecutive day but nobody seems too concerned that he's in danger of missing Sunday's game (and snapping the consecutive snaps streak).

Williams was a full participant for the second straight day with his lingering groin issue.

And then there's the quarterback. Orton has the right finger injury and he was limited today, as he was on Wednesday. Still no word on what his status is for the weekend. If Orton can play, I wouldn't be surprised to see a situation similar to last week where the Chiefs have at least a package of plays ready for Orton. We'll see though. It still looks like Tyler Palko is on track to start his fourth career game.
