Poll: Who Will The Chiefs Starting QB Be In Week 14?

Getty Images

Last week when talking about the Kansas City Chiefs decision to stick with Tyler Palko as their starter over Kyle Orton, Todd Haley said something about winning being the only thing that matters, which is why going with Palko (0-2 at that point) didn't make much sense.

But now that Palko has won a game as the Chiefs starting quarterback, does he get another shot?

That we have to ask that question shows us this week will be a lot like last week where we don't really know who the starting quarterback will be. Our poll last week had about 75 percent of folks predicting Orton would start but that was obviously wrong.

I'm of the belief that the Chiefs should pick a starting quarterback (ideally Orton, if healthy) and stick with it. Splitting snaps is OK for one week but ultimately all that's doing is taking away half of the eventual starter's snaps. The quarterback then goes into the game less prepared than he could be and I don't think that's the way to do things right now.

So now we bring the question back. Who will the Chiefs starting quarterback be on Sunday? (Note: The question is who will the starting quarterback be, not who should be the quarterback).
