Early Reports Say Kyle Orton's Injury Is A Dislocated Finger

The Kyle Orton era lasted exactly one play in the Kansas City Chiefs Week 13 victory over the Chicago Bears.

Orton entered the game at the start of the second quarter but he was hurt on his first and only play of the day, a flea-flicker. A Bears defender crashed into his arm as he released the ball and he quickly looked to the sideline to call for Tyler Palko and walked off the field.

The CBS announcers talked throughout the game like was a dislocated finger -- cameras showed trainers working on his finger -- and ESPN's Chris Mortensen (and others) reports that the initial diagnosis is indeed a dislocated finger.

That seems like a minor injury but your right index finger is an important one when your job is to throw the ball.

So right now we don't really know anything and we may not until the Chiefs practice next week.
