Wow. The Tyler Palko era ended after one quarter, the Kyle Orton era lasted one play and Palko came back in. The Chiefs offense is clearly struggling through one half but, thanks to a Palko hail mary, they're leading the Chicago Bears through one half, 7-3.
Palko and the Chiefs had the ball with two seconds on the clock at the 39-yard line. Instead of the long field goal, they decided to go for a hail mary. Palko took the snapped and flinged it to the end zone. Two Bears players, Brian Urlacher and Chris Conte, knocked the ball down...right into Dexter McCluster's hands.
Indeed, McCluster came down with the hail mary giving the Chiefs a 7-3 lead at halftime.
The way this season has gone, we shouldn't be surprised by that play.
