VIDEO: Kyle Orton, Chiefs New QB, Injured On First Pass Attempt

The Kansas City Chiefs 2011 season takes another strange turn.

The Kyle Orton era started on the first play of the second quarter as the new Chiefs QB entered the game for the first time. On the first play, which you can view after the jump, the Chiefs ran a flea-flicker and Orton's hand was drilled as he threw the ball. The pass was incomplete but Orton went down on the play. He was holding his finger and went to the sidelines, which reverted the Chiefs back to the Palko era.

So one play for Orton and, officially, his return is questionable.

Palko is back in the game and we're not sure who would come in if he was hurt. Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com points out that Steve Breaston and Jerheme Urban were both high school quarterbacks.
