Packers Lineman Remained In KC After Leg Injury

In the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs 19-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers we saw a scary injury to Packers OT Derek Sherrod. Chiefs LB Tamba Hali appeared to fall into Sherrod's leg and he hit the ground, screaming in pain.

From my view in the press box I could tell it was a pretty serious injury when another Packers offensive lineman immediately motioned to the bench to get the medical staff to come out. That's a sign that the player is yelling in pain.

The replays were ugly and, unfortunately, the injury is ugly, too. Sherrod broke both the tibia and fibula in his leg, according to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press Gazette.

He actually underwent emergency surgery in Kansas City after the game and he was expected to remain in KC until later this week, according to the report. It's unclear when he'll be released (if he hasn't already).

Scary, scary injury. I know some Chiefs fans were hoping KC would draft Sherrod last April so we wish him all the best in his recovery.
