Is there any video better than that of a postgame celebration in the locker room?
The Kansas City Chiefs stunned the Green Bay Packers on Sunday under interim head coach Romeo Crennel and after the game reporters talked to the players and found out just how much they love playing for this guy.
The players walked off the field and through the tunnel into the locker room chanting "RAC-City" for their head coach and the Chiefs website (65 TPT) has video of what happened in the locker room after that.
Crennel addressed the players in the locker room and said:
Listen up, listen up. Everybody thought that you were going to die that honor death, you're gonna die with honor. That's what everyone thought. They didn't realize you are not ready to die yet. We're going to finish this thing strong, it's what we gotta do. We got division opponents coming up. They're going to be ready for us and we're going to be ready for them.
That "die with honor" tidbit comes courtesy of...The Gladiator.
Indeed, Crennel used the Russell Crowe movie as motivation for the team, which Peter King talked about in his latest Monday Morning Quarterback on SI.com. (Related: A couple times a month I get someone telling me I look like Russell Crowe. Seriously.)
Man, I'm ready to strap 'em up and get out there and play after hearing that. Do the Chiefs need a dynamic safety like myself?
