The Kansas City Chiefs have a handful of injury questions entering this week. First, there's Matt Cassel, who isn't much of a question -- he's not playing. Second, there's DE Glenn Dorsey, who Todd Haley says is day-to-day at this point.
And there's a new name -- Casey Wiegmann. Kent Babb of the KC Star rounds up all the latest injuries and includes Wiegmann, who suffered a hand injury last weekend against the Denver Broncos. Wiegmann tells the Star he's confident he'll play Monday night so we shall see. Wiegmann, of course, has the consecutive snaps streak going right now -- well past 10,000 in a row. I suspect that's pretty important to him so he'll be back if at all possible.
If he can't go, the Chiefs have Rodney Hudson slotted behind him. We've seen Hudson fill in at guard here and there but not much time at center with the first team offense. If Hudson had to start, that would bring up a whole other set of issues as he's the only backup listed for both guard spots and center.
With the Chiefs game on Monday, instead of Sunday, their first injury report won't be coming until Thursday afternoon and then we'll have final injury designations on these guys on Saturday before the game.
