Colts' Bill Polian Comments On Matt Cassel And The Chiefs

Indianapolis Colts vice chairman (or some other fancy title) Bill Polian did a Q&A with the Colts official website and talked a little bit about the Kansas City Chiefs and the game this weekend.

This passage caught my eye:

"But if Cassel picks up the efficiency in the passing game, they will win a lot of games.  They have a good defense and what they really lacked last year to go far in the playoffs was a top-notch passing game.  So if Matt Cassel is back to what he was when he played in New England, he'll be pretty good.  Certainly they're a tough test for us with how banged up we are."

Is it just me or did that come off as a string of back-handed compliments?

This Chiefs team could be pretty good...if Cassel plays better.

Matt Cassel will be good...if he plays like he did in New England.

The Chiefs will test us this weekend....because we have so many injuries.
