Chiefs Can Do Some Early Scouting Tonight

Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel said this afternoon 810 WHB that he planned on catching the Indianapolis Colts Monday Night Football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight. That's because in one week the Chiefs will be traveling to Indy to play the Colts.

The Colts are a huge underdog -- 10.5 points -- and that's due mostly to the absence of Peyton Manning

The Colts signed Kerry Collins over the offseason but he won't be playing tonight due to injury. it'll be Curtis Painter getting his first NFL start.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) and we'll have an open thread for that but for now here are a few story lines to follow in this game:

How does Painter do in his first start? Past performance doesn't suggest he'll light it up but we shall see. I'm not holding my breath for a lot of points for Indy.

Can the Bucs defense get my fantasy team 19-plus points tonight? Since I write about football all day, those in my fantasy league expected me to be some fantasy juggernaut but, alas, one Jamaal Charles injury and my season is headed in the wrong direction.

Will the Bucs hang with the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South? The Saints are 3-1 and the Bucs are 2-1 so a win puts Tampa Bay even with New Orleans. In third place is the Atlanta Falcons if the Bucs pick up a win tonight.
