By Beating Chargers, Chiefs Can Do Two Unusual Things

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium and they have a chance to do something that hasn't been done since 1989 and something else that hasn't been done since 2000.

First, a win on Monday will put them into a three-way tie for first place between 4-3 teams for the first time since...

According to Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Information), the last time there was a three-way tie for first place between 4-3 teams was in 1989 in the old AFC Central.

Second, if they win on Monday they'll be the first team to start 0-3 and win their next four for the first time since...

If the Chiefs win Monday, they would become the first team since the 2000 Pittsburgh Steelers to start a season 0-3 and then win its next four games.

So this game is sorta historic.
