Sounds like the San Diego Chargers understand that A.) Arrowhead Stadium is going to be LOUD on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs and B.) this game has huge divisional implications down the stretch. Chargers LB Takeo Spikes talked to the San Diego media on Wednesday and noted that they know the Chiefs are coming after first place in the AFC West.
"This is a big week," Spikes said. "I'm looking forward to it. First time this year we're playing on Monday Night Football. Division game. What more can you ask for?
"Knowing both circumstances, they're on a three-game winning streak, what we just came off of, being first in the division, we know we got what they want and that's first place in the division so it's a great week to be a Charger."
"It's a division game," Chargers head coach Norv Turner said, echoing Spikes. "I think our guys are excited about the fact that it's a Monday night. It's a great place to play, but it's a very, very tough place to play. We're going to have to work hard on handling that environment. It's always loud there and obviously being a Monday night game, Halloween, I know it's going to be as loud as it's probably been since we've been going."
Is it Monday night yet?
