Monday Night Football Bringing Some More Attention To KC Chiefs

New, comments

The national spotlight is turning to Kansas City as the Chiefs will host the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football this week. That and the Chiefs three-game winning streak means we're seeing some more stuff going on involving our Chiefs.

Here are a few things I've received this week:

GMC Monday Night Football tour is coming to KC on Saturday (10:00-7:00) and Sunday (12:00-6:00) at Oak Park MallHead over to their Facebook page for details of the event but they'll have players like Steve Breaston, Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe and former players like Christian Okoye at the event. It actually looks like a cool event.

Monday Night Football Chalk Talk. The MNF crew is hosting a luncheon at Arrowhead at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Alumni from the Chiefs and Chargers will be there, as well as Clark Hunt and the MNF announcers Jon Gruden, Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. Here's some more info on that, who's invited and all that.

Chiefs to be featured on NFL Turning Point on Versus. It'll air on Versus on Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) and include some audio from Todd Haley and Matt Cassel last weekend. The theme is the Chiefs' resurgence.

Matt Cassel talks to Rick Reilly. Reilly tweeted the other day he talked with Cassel so we could be seeing an ESPN piece coming out at some point.

I'm sure we'll be hearing about more things going on around  Kansas City in the coming days so stay tuned.
