We've a little over three hours removed from the Kansas City Chiefs 22-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings at the friendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium.
After a few hours to think it over, what's your grade for the Chiefs today?
I'd put my grade around a high B, just short of an A.
The Chiefs had six total scoring drives and, though you'd wish a couple of Ryan Succop's five field goals were touchdowns, they did more the ball somewhat consistently. Cassel completed 62 percent of his passes for 260 yards including the 52-yarder to Dwayne Bowe.
The Chiefs defense played well for the second consecutive week. Brandon Carr stopped an 11-play Vikings drive by picking Donovan McNabb, Tamba Hali notched a pair of sacks and Brandon Flowers played on an ankle injury. Overall a good day.
Even special teams stepped up. Actually, they're the MVPs. Succop had five field goals, tying a franchise record and Javier Arenas averaged 23 yards per punt return on three returns.
