The Kansas City Chiefs will be going to Pittsburgh with a win today. The New York Jets beat the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday night in the wildcard round of the playoffs which means the Jets, as the sixth seed, will head to New England to play the Patriots in the divisional round of the playoffs.
It also means the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens game today will head to Pittsburgh next Saturday afternoon.
Obviously, the Chiefs need to get past the Ravens first, which is no easy task.
Bear with me through this wild scenario: Jets beat Colts (done), Chiefs beat Ravens and then the Jets beat the Patriots, Chiefs beat the Steelers and....AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium. I know, I know. I probably just jinxed it.
But the Chiefs need to first do what they haven't done in 17 years -- win a freakin' playoff game. If they do that, Todd Haley can play his hometown team. Fitting.
Go Chiefs!
