Last weekend when the Kansas City Chiefs found out they'd be playing the Baltimore Ravens in the wildcard round of the playoffs, Eric Berry took to Twitter and said, "Dang on the field wit E.Reed next week. Pinchin myself but I'm already up."
Berry has been compared to Ravens safety Ed Reed and has said before he's a player he admires (by the way, good person to admire). The two have never met but Reed says he was cheering Berry on with his 50-plus yard interception return for a touchdown.
"He's making plays," Reed said, per the Baltimore Sun, "had a very impressive interception he returned a couple weeks ago. I was screaming at the TV for him. I'm definitely rooting for him, too. I talked to him when he was in college before he came out. I've never met him personally, so it'll be interesting to meet him this week, being that it's going to be in the playoffs, in his first playoff game. So it's going to be fun."
Check out the Baltimore Sun to see what Todd Haley said about Berry but I'm excited to see how these two play. Berry's role will be very important as the Ravens will run the ball a lot and Berry's been a key part of the Chiefs run defense this year.
Anyone else think it would be neat to see Berry have a huge game in a Chiefs win as a passing-the-torch moment?
