We know Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel still considers New England Patriots QB Tom Brady a friend and they often talk about on and off the field stuff. Cassel talked with Brady this week, apparently, and got some tips on playing the Baltimore Ravens.
"He told me everything we needed to do to beat him so I think we're good to go," Cassel said laughing.
Brady may not know how to beat the Ravens -- at least not consistently. Brady and Co. were able to top Baltimore in OT earlier this year but last year in the playoffs the Ravens rolled the Pats, 33-14.
"We just had brief discussion about their team and again he just reiterated what you see on film -- they're a big, physical team," Cassel said. "They've got an outstanding front seven. You look across the ball you see Ray Lewis, who's been playing for ever and he's an outstanding player. You've got Suggs, Ngata and in the secondary you have two great safeties with Reed and Landry's been outstanding.
"They're an outstanding defense. They're the best defense we've seen up to this point and we're excited about playing them. "
Haley also said this will probably be the best defense they see all year so it sounds like the Chiefs understand the task at hand.
