NFL Week 17 Victory Of The Week Highlights Seahawks, Packers And Colts

Week 17 of the regular season ended with a number of teams finally figuring out their place in the NFL playoff picture. A number of teams clinched playoff spots with wins last Sunday and they are on the list for the Prilosec Victory Of The Week.

Here are our nominees:

Seahawks over Rams. Seattle clinched a playoff spot by beating the Rams on Sunday and they did it by being arguably the worst playoff team ever at 7-9. When the first two names in your game winning recap are "Charlie Whitehurst" and "Olindo Mare," you know you're not very good. Nevertheless, the Seahawks did win when they absolutely needed to, against a team playing for the same playoff spot.

Packers over Bears. Green Bay was another team that had to win to make the NFL playoffs. They did just that over the Bears, with the offense limping along for three quarters until back to back long passing plays set up the go ahead TD.

Colts over Titans. I don't really like the Colts and you've probably heard about the game by now. Colts and Titans were close...Both teams fumbled late in the game on near back to back plays.....Indy wins on a field goal.

Bucs over Saints. The Bucs needed to win to make the playoffs but also needed some help .They did win the game but a Green Bay win shut them out of the playoffs. Grandview kid Josh Freeman played quite well for the Bucs, throwing for 255 yards and two TDs. Former Chief Connor Barth hit three field goals.

Giants over Redskins. New York needed needed some help to get into the playoffs but also needed a win. The hilariously dysfunctional Washington Redskins were happy to give it them, albeit in a close game. Too bad they still didn't make the playoffs.

If you ask me, and I hate to say this, but I'm going to take the Colts over the Rams. Indy needed the win and made the exact plays they needed to make at the end of the game to seal the win. They overcame a terrible fumble to do so in the process.

Who had the victory of the week in your opinion?
