Around The AFC West: 2011 NFL Draft, Nnamdi Asomugha And Norv Turner

Another edition of Around The AFC West is in store after championship weekend. The Chiefs were the only AFC West team in the playoffs so the rest of the teams fans have been in draft-mode for a little longer but I think Chiefs fans are starting to hit the big boards.

Here's what the enemy is saying....

I noticed John from Bolts From The Blue nailed both picks in the AFC and NFC Championship game this weekend. They're also talking about Norv Turner will a monthly approval poll. Only 46 percent of readers approve of the job he's done. That's to be expected when you miss the playoffs with a team like theirs.

Over at Silver And Black Pride, Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha was named a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. This is the same award that Chiefs G Brian Waters took home last year. It'll be presented before the Super Bowl. They're also got a mock draft post up wondering who to take in the second round -- that's because the Raiders traded their first round pick for Richard Seymour last year.

Broncos fans at Mile High Report are already in total draft mode as they hold the second overall pick. You remember what that feels like, right? Any meaningful games are gone by November and you spend the rest of the year talking about the NFL draft. That's lots of pressure on one day.
