There are a handful of former Kansas City Chiefs players that will be in the 2011 Super Bowl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.
A big Chiefs connection to the game is Packers head coach Mike McCarthy who served as an offensive quality control coach in Kansas City from 1993-94 and quarterbacks coach from 1995-98.
He brought along a number of former Chiefs on his coaching staff including quarterbacks coach Tom Clements and assistant strength and conditioning coach Dave Redding. Those are just a couple of numbers Chiefs-Packers connections.
As for players, the Packers feature two former Chiefs in TE Tom Crabtree and LB Erik Walden. Crabtree entered the NFL as a undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2009 and Walden spent time on the Chiefs in 2008.
A big Pittsburgh connection to the Chiefs is Todd Haley, whose father Dick worked with the Steelers.
The Steelers also have a couple of former Chiefs on their team in LB Keyaron Fox and LB Rocky Boiman. Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Bruce Arians coached running backs for the Chiefs from 1989-92.
