Tony Gonzalez Is Not Retiring; Will Return In 2011

We have one more year to root for a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl. TE Tony Gonzalez told ESPN's Jim Rome that he is returning for the 2011 NFL season.

Gonzalez told reporters after the Falcons divisional round loss that he was contemplating retirement. Apparently that's not the case anymore.

For those counting, Gonzalez will have played three more seasons since the Chiefs traded him. One of TG's issues was that he wanted to have a shot to win a Super Bowl and the Chiefs, at the time, were clearly in rebuilding mode. Though his numbers are in decline, I wouldn't be that surprised to see Gonzalez return in 2012 (barring injury of course).

This brings up a question: TG wanted out so he could win a ring but do the Chiefs now have a shot at winning a Super Bowl before the Falcons?
