Confirmed: Matt Cassel Becomes Fourth Chief In Pro Bowl

Late last night we heard about the news out of Boston that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was injured and would not play in the 2011 Pro Bowl and his replacement would be Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel.

The Chiefs didn't confirm the news last night but Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com writes via Twitter that they got the official word this morning: Matt Cassel's in the Pro Bowl.

This makes, officially, four Chiefs in the Pro Bowl right now including RB Jamaal Charles, WR Dwayne Bowe and G Brian Waters. It's pretty cool to see your quarterback, running back and receiver all make the Pro Bowl.

LB Derrick Johnson said a couple of weeks ago that he's an alternate for the Pro Bowl but he's not sure how far down the list he is. Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis and Patriots LB Jerod Mayo are currently on the team at inside linebacker.
