The Kansas City Chiefs won't have to change their schedule at all when they host the Baltimore Ravens. After much debate we've got the time and date of the Chiefs home playoff game -- Sunday, January 9 at 12:00 p.m. (Arrowhead time).
The good news is that the Chiefs won't have to change anything in their weekly routine. All Sunday home games are at 12:00 p.m. so if Todd Haley wants to take the approach that nothing changes then the time of the game works nicely into that.
The New York Jets will travel to Indianapolis and play the Colts 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. That game will be on NBC.
Discussion of the NFL playoff schedule around the press box today was mixed. Some (like me) thought Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles would make it onto Saturday night primetime. That's not the case as NBC takes the Jets-Colts. If the Chiefs had beaten the Oakland Raiders on Sunday that may have been them on Saturday night.
On the NFC side, the winner of Sunday's night NFC West game -- St. Louis Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks -- will host the New Orleans Saints at 3:30 p.m. on NBC Saturday. The Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at 3:30 on FOX.
Here's an easy to see look at the schedule:
Saturday, January 8
NFC: 3:30 p.m. (CT), Saints vs. Rams/Seahawks, NBC
AFC: 7:00 p.m. (CT), Jets vs. Colts, NBC
Sunday, January 9
AFC: 12:00 p.m. (CT), Ravens vs. Chiefs, CBS
NFC: 3:30 p.m. (CT), Packers vs. Eagles, FOX
