Former Chief Gets Late Shot At A Super Bowl

If I was a player, I wouldn't mind signing with a team on conference championship weekend -- just two wins from a Super Bowl ring.

That's the case with QB Matt Gutierrez -- a former Chief -- who just signed with the Chicago Bears (reserve/future contract).

Gutierrez was last signed by the Bears during training camp and then released on Aug. 30. The Chiefs claimed Gutierrez off waivers in 2009 from the New England Patriots and last released him a couple weeks before training camp this year.

Well, that's not a bad gig for Gutierrez. He doesn't play with anyone throughout the season and has a shot at a Super Bowl.

But I will say life is not fair if Matt Gutierrez has a better shot at Super Bowl ring than Tony Gonzalez ever has.
