The Kansas City Chiefs will be facing another new head coach in the AFC West -- Hue Jackson. The Oakland Raiders announced on Monday that Jackson, Oakland's offensive coordinator in 2010, was promoted to head coach.
This news comes nearly two weeks after the Raiders announced they would not be picking up former head coach Tom Cable's option in his contract. The Raiders have made a lot of improvements in the last year so I'll be curious to see what changes, if any, Jackson will make.
Jackson has done some good work with quarterbacks in the past so it'll be interesting to track the development of Jason Campbell (or whoever the Raiders quarterback is next year).
Should Chiefs fans be for or against this move? I thought Cable was on the right track -- as the Chiefs learned twice last season -- so it remains to be seen which way the Raiders will go from here.
What do you think about the move? Same old Raiders or a new era?
