The Kansas City Chiefs offseason figures to be fairly quiet heading into the 2011 season. There aren't a lot of lingering story lines or issues the Chiefs are working through right now.
Except of course with the offensive coordinator. Mike McCoy was the only name to surface regarding the search and he's now decided to stay with the Denver Broncos. So that's about the only major question mark we have remaining with the Chiefs.
Players will be added or released as we go along but we don't expect any significant changes (though the Chiefs do have a habit of proving me wrong).
This is quite the change from last year's offseason when we were busy with news much of the time. Last year, the Chiefs added both Weis and Romeo Crennel, which is enough change for one offseason. And then we had plenty of question marks on the future of WR Dwayne Bowe and LB Derrick Johnson, along with how RB Jamaal Charles and RB Thomas Jones would work together. There was also the development of QB Matt Cassel as a major question mark.
We had a lot to talk about last year but, this year, not so much.
What do you think about the upcoming offseason? I don't see how there's anyway we see as many changes as we did last year. Do you think the Chiefs will make big changes again?
