A couple of news outlets have picked up a short blurb from the Associated Press (the other AP) that states Coach Todd Haley will consider calling plays next year for the Kansas City Chiefs. The story does continue to say that Haley intends to make a hire to fill the position.
Shan Shariff, who attended the presser, stated on Twitter that he really believes that Haley is thinking about being OC next year.
I don't think a lot of people would be surprised if this was the direction Haley ultimately went. I do wonder how it would affect his in game coaching. Haley has received a lot of credit for having matured as a head coach, and some of that maturation has been attributed to the fact he was able to let go of coordinator responsibilities and focus on the overall team.
What do you guys think? Good idea? Bad?
