The Kansas City Chiefs and the 31 other NFL teams released a boat load of players on Saturday to get down to the NFL maximum 53 roster players. That means that the Chiefs have found their right 53.
That also means there are now a lot more players available that could become part of the Chiefs 53.
Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, like many GMs, likes to go with what's known over unknown. There are a few teams whose cuts have probably caught the eye of Pioli including the Dolphins (Bill Parcells), Broncos (Josh McDaniels), Falcons (Thomas Dimitroff) and Patriots (Bill Belichick). The Cardinals are also probably getting their cut list reviewed by Todd Haley, who worked in Arizona.
The fact is the Chiefs will look at every player released but those teams listed above have connections to the Chiefs so it wouldn't surprise me to see some action on those cut lists.
