Chiefs vs. 49ers: Another Chris Johnson Comparison For Jamaal Charles

We've noticed over the last year as Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has started to break out onto the national scene that people tend to compare him to a certain Tennessee Titans running back. That's Chris Johnson, a 2,000 yard rusher in 2009 if you didn't know.

They're both small, quick and explosive so that's why when talking about the Chiefs run game, 49ers nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin says this "Charles dude" isn't too bad.

"Kansas City does so many different things as far as their variations," Franklin told Daniel Brown of the San Jose Mercury News. "They can attack you in so many ways,’’ Franklin said. "With most teams you know they are going to run straight power. But they’ve got two 1,000-yard backs back there that have two different running styles.

"Thomas Jones is a guy who can cut back. He’s been in the league a while and has had success. The Charles dude reminds you of Chris Johnson. He’s fast and he can take it to the house any time."

We'll see if Charles get a chance to do his CJ impression on Sunday. We took a guess earlier that San Francisco's strong interior defensive line may create more opportunities for Charles.
