Kansas City Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt Sees How Big Monday Night Football Was

Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt is starting to see just how big the Kansas City Chiefs Monday Night football victory over the San Diego Chargers and their 2-0 start is.

Don Banks of SI.com has a very good story on the Chiefs owner and his thoughts on the big hubbub in Kansas City -- the 2-0 start.

Hunt says that on Thursday morning, he went to a civic group's breakfast and "everyone in the room at some point came over to congratulate me" on the Chiefs 2-0 start.

"It made me realize, first of all, how huge the win on Monday night [against San Diego in Week 1] was for the organization. Not only in the community, but on a national basis. It's amazing how many people either watched or know what happened on Monday Night Football. Our fans were very big that night, and the stadium reminded me of Arrowhead back in the '90s, when it was a very tough place to play for opposing quarterbacks."

You know what the cool thing is about this Chiefs season? If -- and this is a huge if -- they go onto make some noise in the AFC playoffs, they can look back to that MNF game as the start. Sure, it may be a pipe dream but, as Banks says in the story -- who knows in the NFL?

I encourage you to hop on over to SI.com and check out Banks' story.
