Chiefs vs. 49ers: Preparing For The Arrowhead Stadium Crowd Noise

The San Francisco 49ers will be battling two things on Sunday: the Kansas City Chiefs on the field and the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.

David Fucillo of Niners Nation suggested that the 49ers had communication issues Week 1 in Seattle. Now he's wondering how the 49ers will handle a place that could as loud or louder.

I would argue that the challenge posed by the Chiefs and Arrowhead Stadium could arguably be more important than that of the Saints this past week. After all, any team should be able to get up for a home opener on MNF against the defending champs. The 49ers real problems from the Seahawks game could very well have been buried for a week amidst the home atmosphere. I'm not saying that's what happened, but it's something that people have to keep in mind.

He says of Arrowhead, "even with renovations, is old school enough that it can still bring an intimidating noise factor."

Check out the story for a little more on the problems they had getting the plays related in Week 1. Even a few delay of game penalties could be huge for the Chiefs defense because putting the 49ers offense in 1st and 10s and 3rd and longs clearly isn't their strength.
