Net Yards Rushing: 140
The Chiefs run game appeared to stall during the first half of the Cleveland Browns game. They didn't seem to be able to run the zone plays against the physical Browns defense as well as they had hoped.
That being said, it was the ability to run the ball that is keeping this offense from breaking down. I expect the run game to keep carrying this team until the passing game can find a way to contribute more consistently.
I have again charted every running play the Kansas City Chiefs have run this year. One aspect of the Chiefs game is beginning to materialize.
Lets take a look...

Play Chart Observations:
- Weis has, after two games, developed a mild tendency to run strong. That appears to be no surprise since the Chiefs best average yards per gain is when they run strong. That is just how the numbers ended up in the preseason. When the Chiefs run strong they tend to have a higher average gain.
- Although Weis has not done it a lot...the Chiefs are particularly successful when they pull a guard and run strong at the same time.

Formation Notes:
- In the preseason, Weis would pull a guard when in pro weak or strong. So far during the regular season he has yet to pull while in pro strong.
- Jamaal and T.J. are even getting an equal number of carries when analyzing the pro weak/strong formation.

Formation Notes:
- Weis is starting to throw in another power formation: Ace Trey. This formation utilizes one or two tight ends in the trips formation. With two tight ends, one being a very good receiver, Weis can either run the ball or throw it effectively.
