A Chance To Meet A Few Kansas City Chiefs Players

The Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of once again becoming the hottest ticket in town.

So here's your chance to meet a few players and do something good for the community while you're at it.

Chiefs LB Corey Mays is hosting a Celebrity Waiter Night event this evening at 801 Chop House (71 E. 14th Street in KCMO) from 6-10 p.m. benefiting his foundation, A-Maysing Beauty Foundation, which helps young girls in the foster care program.

Basically, you go have a nice dinner and get served by guys like Dexter Mccluster, Dustin Colquitt, Ryan Succop, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Branden Albert, Eric Berry, Brandon Carr, Thomas Gafford, Pierre Walters, Reshard Langford, Donald Washington, Jovan Belcher, Justin Cole, and Corey Greenwood.

So many of you, if you're anything like me, have possibly neglected your significant other over the last few weeks as football gets underway. So here's what you do: Ask your significant other out on a date tonight and, perhaps, you happen to go to 801 Chop House....with the Chiefs serving you.

I've got the full details after the jump.

COREY MAYS HOST 1ST ANNUAL CELEBRITY WAITER NIGHT

The Kansas City Chiefs starting Linebacker puts his helmet down and ties his apron up for a fun filled night of serving his community and fans for a good cause.

What: On Monday, September 20, Corey Mays from the Kansas City Chiefs and several of his teammates will be donning aprons and taking your orders as the "acting" waiters for the night to any patron that comes for dinner. The venue host is the 801 Chop House who is graciously donating a part of the night’s proceeds to the A-Maysing Beauty Foundation that Corey has founded. Reservation highly recommended, open to the public.

Who: ESPN’s Mike Hill from SportsCenter will be the co-host for the night’s festivities, and several of Corey’s teammates from the Kansas City Chiefs will also be in attendance such as: Dexter Mccluster, Dustin Colquitt, Ryan Succop, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Branden Albert, Eric Berry, Brandon Carr, Thomas Gafford, Pierre Walters, Reshard Langford, Donald Washington, Jovan Belcher, Justin Cole, and Corey Greenwood. The KANSAS CITY WIZARDS are invited guest and will be dining in support of Corey and his foundation.

WHY: Corey Mays founded the A-Maysing Beauty Foundation to benefit young girls in the foster care program in Kansas City, and his hometown of Chicago. Corey is currently active in the CASA program in Kansas City. The Foundations goal with the celebrity waiter night is to raise enough funds to help with securing celebrity guest to attend the workshops in the foster care homes that Corey has set in place to launch in his 2011 off- season. The foundation is founded off the principals of enforcing inner and outer beauty through mentoring, nurturing, and educating young girls on beauty upkeep from the inside and out.
