Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster is coming from the SEC so national attention and big crowds are nothing new to him.
But this big?
McCluster says he's never seen anything like it.
"Tonight," he said with a smile on his face standing by his locker after the game, "all the other stadiums I played in don't compare. Hands down, Arrowhead is by far the loudest and the best."
The announced crowd was just over 71,000 but with the weather they didn't quite hit that number in actual attendance. Still, that crowd was rockin' so loud that McCluster tells us he could barely hear himself talk.
Nothing got the crowd as pumped up as McCluster's 94-yard, franchise record punt return for a touchdown.
"It feels good," he said. "Obviously I want to go out there and help the team. To get that record...that's something new to me. I just learned that."
It's been really neat seeing that progression from the rookie mini-camp way back in May, through OTAs in June, grueling training camp, the rough (at times) preseason and then....this.
