It's been a longtime but Chiefsmas is here.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Diego Chargers this evening for Monday Night Football. Kickoff is at 9:15 p.m. The game will be on ESPN for those that are out-of-market and those of you that are here in Kansas City, MO can view the pre-game festivities on KMBC (ABC).
I think we're all pretty excited for this game because it mark a new era for the Kansas City Chiefs. A win against the Chargers would send a message to the rest of the NFL: We're baaack.
Whether or not that happens, we won't know until the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
But I do think this is can be one of those signature games for the Chiefs.
A win would be so much bigger than a normal win because the world is watching (at least the west coast is) and it's well-known that the Chargers are a better team than the Chiefs. A loss would be bigger than a normal loss because the Chiefs, along with the rest of Kansas City, has hyped this game up so much.
It's Chiefsmas but the presents under the tree won't be coming until 9: 15 p.m. this evening.
