The Kansas City Chiefs had 10,721 fans watching their intra-squad scrimmage this afternoon. That number set the attendance record for Missouri Western University's football stadium, which is no surprise considering the new training camp spot is only an hour away from Kansas City as opposed to about seven when camp was in River Falls, WI. And, you know, the fact that the stadium is brand new helps a bit too.
Joel is on his way back from camp now and will more updates this evening. One more note he wanted me to relay to you was that rookie S Eric Berry and Chiefs head coach Todd Haley were the last two people on the field signing autographs.
[Editor's Note: One of our readers told us that GM Scott Pioli was also the last on the field along with Haley and Berry. The GM must have escaped my eye.]
Those of you who were at the scrimmage, please give us your thoughts as well.
