Road To The AFC West Title: Elvis Dumervil Expected To Miss Four Months

This week we had an interview with Bill Barnwell of FootballOutsiders.com and he predicted that Chiefs LB Tamba Hali could surpass Broncos LB Elvis Dumervil.

Some thought that was a little crazy because Dumervil set a Broncos-record with 17 sacks last year.

Well, not so crazy anymore.

Dumervil reportedly tore his pectoral muscle which will sideline him four months.

That would put his return in early December and guarantee that, at least in 2010, Hali will surpass him.

This injury, combined with the Chargers holdouts of LT Marcus McNeill and WR Vincent Jackson, is making things a tad easier in the Chiefs quest to be AFC West champs.

Keep an eye on Mile High Report today about the Elvis Dumervil injury. I wonder how they'll react.
