Chiefs Training Camp: Photos From Day Two

Here are some photos from Chiefs training camp.

In the photo above, outside linebacker Andy Studebaker is talking about the fans.

"Anytime you have the fans out here it provides a spark," he said.

By the time you read this, I'll be back on the practice field for the afternoon practice. Updates to come after 7:00 p.m. this evening (Yeah, this is a long day).

The fans line this path and some of the players stop and sign autographs. There are usually some pretty funny fans yelling at the players to get their attention to sign. The best was on Friday when a fan yelled to Scott Pioli standing like 10 feet away, "SCOTT, WILL YOU SIGN THIS." Pioli stops, looks back and yells back jokingly, "YEAH I SURE CAN." Both sides laughed.

I thought this was pretty cool. The Chiefs pick out a few kids after each practice and let them carry the players helmets back to the locker room. Look at that little guy. That's a big load for him! This might be my favorite picture of camp so far.

That's Corey Mays on the left, Ryan O'Callaghan in the middle and Rudy Niswanger on the right.

The Chiefs are lined up in team work. This is the best part of these practices.

This was a good part of camp in front of the fans. At one point, you had Dexter McCluster lined up as a receiver one-on-one against Eric Berry. McCluster put on a nice move and slipped past Berry to the cheers of the crowd.

Look closely and you can see Brodie Croyle and Matt Cassel.
