Chiefs, Javier Arenas Agree On Four-Year Contract

The Chiefs and second round pick Javier Arenas have struck a deal. Two weeks after hiring a new agent, Arenas' reps worked out a four-year contract with the Chiefs, according to Aaron Wilson of National Football Post.

All the other Chiefs draft picks have been getting guaranteed roster bonuses instead of signing bonuses (which doesn't make a difference to you or the player) so we'll be checking to see if Arenas did as well.

Once he puts pen-to-paper, Arenas will mark the fourth Chiefs draft pick that has officially signed though at least two others shouldn't be far behind.

First to sign was fifth round pick Kendrick Lewis, then fifth round pick Cameron Sheffield followed by third round pick Tony Moeaki.

The Chiefs are reportedly close to announcing the signing of third round pick Jon Asamoah and the players directly before and after second round pick Dexter McCluster have signed so he should be coming along shortly.

And then there's Eric Berry.
