While touring the new Arrowhead this afternoon, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told us that there would be a special dedication ceremony for the Founder's Plaza next Friday.
What he did not tell us is that he has a special guest coming:
Commissioner Roger Goodell.
The last time I remember Goodell coming to Arrowhead was the Chiefs and Cowboys game last season.
This is shaping up to be quite the day. The Founder's Plaza dedication ceremony at 10:00 a.m. and the first camp practice in St. Joe at 1:50 p.m.
I have photos of the Founder's Plaza, as well as arguably the coolest part of the New Arrowhead, after the jump.
This is the Founder's Plaza right here:
That black thing is the stage for a "heroic statue" of Lamar Hunt. Awesome.
The coolest part? The picture below shows a closer look at the ground of the Founder's Plaza.
Now, what play might the Chiefs diagram on the ground of the Founder's Plaza?
It's the one Clark Hunt called today the "most famous play in Chiefs history"....65 toss power trap.
