The Chiefs have reportedly agreed to terms with third round pick Tony Moeaki, tight end out of Iowa.
I haven't seen anything from the Chiefs yet and, the best I can tell, Soren Petro of 810 WHB's The Program reported it first via Twitter.
The Chiefs are breaking the mold a bit by signing Moeaki. The two picks before and after him have yet to sign. I guess you could say they're trend setters.
We'll be keeping an eye on what his contract looks like as well. The Chiefs have done four-year contracts with Kendrick Lewis and Cameron Sheffield, the only other two picks signed, and have given them roster bonuses instead of signing bonuses.
Moeaki is expected to compete with Leonard Pope for the starting tight end job.
If and when the Chiefs confirm this, it will make three draft picks under contract.
