Until a few weeks ago, Chiefs LB Tamba Hali didn't speak to the media in over a year. In fact, it's believed he hadn't talked publicly since the Herm Edwards era.
Then he broke that streak by going on the team-run radio show the Red Zone Podcast with 810 WHB's Soren Petro back on June 9.
Not even a month later, I can now point you in the direction of several articles that include quotes from Hali.
Per the Centre Daily Times, Hali talked about the Chiefs -- but was careful not to say too much.
"Romeo is a great coach," Hali said. "With our scheme right now, I believe we are going to be better next year. The way he runs the defense. … I can’t sit here and tell you guys because that will be ratting. It’s almost like watching the Steelers being that the defense is a 3-4. We have to be on our toes. There’s a lot of thinking."
This meshes with what other Chiefs players have said about the defense with it being vital that you're mentally adapted to the defense as well as physically.
So Tamba Hali goes an entire year without speaking now he's a chatter box, huh?
