Todd Haley "One-Finger Salute" Story Resurfaces

I was reading through the latest Associated Press story on Todd Haley becoming more mellow these days. One item in the report caught me by surprise.

Practices were filled with front-of-the-team dressdowns, games with obscentity-filled tirades that were often caught on TV. It wasn't just the players who felt the Haley wrath; he also gave a Chiefs fan a one-fingered salute as he walked off the field.

Last I heard, Haley and the Chiefs denied that ever happening. The report came from Jack Harry of NBC Action News and the only "facts" I remember reading about was that Harry received two emails from fans (who may or may not have been making this up) stating Haley flipped them off.

The problem is that this was never proven. In fact, Harry came out just a couple of days later with some very nice words for Haley making some wonder if that was an "apology" of sorts.

The AP article doesn't cite any new information on the subject so I'm a little surprised that it was written that way.
