SB Nation Regionals Gets The New York Times Treatment

Sbn_medium SB Nation launched six new regional sites last evening. The regionals -- Arizona, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington D.C. -- were the topic of conversation in the New York Times this morning.

Yes, the paper of record. We're even mentioned...sort of.

"Now the company is getting into the regional sports business," the Times' Joseph Plambeck writes, "introducing 20 new sites in the next several weeks that are dedicated to all of the sports in a particular city, as varied as New York and Kansas City."

Yes, that's Kansas City. And, yes, a Kansas City regional is coming, run by yours truly (and another familiar name to AP readers).

Check out these sites to get an idea of what the Kansas City site will look like: Arizona, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington D.C.

If you can put two and two together you can probably figure out when it'll launch. (Hint: It has something to do with the meet-up on June 14th. Get details and RSVP here.)

This news even got our CEO blogging.
