Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe caused a stir yesterday when he once again denied the "importing" comments that were attributed to him in an ESPN the Magazine feature.
But that wasn't all he said during the interview with 790 the Zone in Atlanta.
On Matt Cassel:
"Matt Cassel right now is definitely worth the money. I'd put my money on him right now."
Bowe has reason to believe in Cassel. He's entering the final two years of his rookie contract and obviously wants to rebound from a disappointing 2009 season.
On the new look Chiefs:
"I can't even sleep to tell you the truth. I'm not the guy to just make up something because I'm on the air but with the last three months of practice, I can't even remember how we ended the last season. This is a totally different team."
This echoes what we've heard from quite a few players this offseason. Apparently, there was a different level of focus during OTAs and players don't feel this is the same team that's won 10 games in three years.
