We've talked before about what difference the Chiefs will make to St. Joe as a community. Financially, the impact is obvious. Some Missouri Western State University officials have said they could envision 5,000 people showing up to camp each day.
There's also another hidden benefit to MWSU as the Chiefs descend on their football facilities, Kansas City-based FOX-4 reports.
University officials say the Chiefs coming to campus is making more people want to become MWSU Griffons. They say that applications are up for the coming school year.
So they'll definitely have more visitors but maybe some more students that will stick around for two three four years.
Local hotels aren't quite booked but said they've seen an increase in reservations since the Chiefs made their announcement.
